Those subscribed to the highest-tier of Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, now have two more games to check out. This includes a title added through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate's EA Play integration, as well as a brand-new day one release available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers regardless of which version of the service they have signed up for.

For the uninitiated, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate combines all the Game Pass perks into a single package, giving subscribers access to all the games available on consoles and PC. It also features all the benefits of being an Xbox Live Gold subscriber and there are even more benefits to consider on top of all that. One big benefit of being an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber is access to the EA Play library of games, which adds new titles on a regular basis.

The latest title added to EA Play, and therefore available to play at no additional charge for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, is Battlefield 2042. The hugely controversial first-person shooter first launched last year to mostly negative reviews, but EA and DICE have made a concerted effort to improve the experience based on fan feedback. Battlefield 2042 updates have released frequently since the game's disastrous launch, and now Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can decide for themselves if the changes are enough to redeem it.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, as well as those subscribed to vanilla Game Pass or PC Game Pass, can also check out Gungrave GORE as of today. Gungrave GORE is a third-person shooter game and the third main series entry in the Gungrave series that started on the PlayStation 2 all the way back in 2002. The original Gungrave was followed up by Gungrave: Overdose in 2004, but then the series went dormant until the VR prologue to Gungrave GORE, Gungrave VR, launched in Japan in 2017. Gungrave GORE reviews have been pretty mixed so far, but anyone curious can play through it in its entirety through Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers still have a few new game additions to look forward to before November is out. Insurgency: Sandstorm joins the Game Pass lineup on November 29, joined by day one game Soccer Story. Then on November 30, PC Game Pass users can check out Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. A console version of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is also in the works for Game Pass, but its release date has been postponed indefinitely.
