Generally speaking, most of the new games added to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service come to the vanilla version available on Xbox consoles. However, there are exceptions to that rule. Sometimes games only come to PC Game Pass, and other times still, they are only available on console to those that are subscribed to the highest-tier version of the service, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the most expensive version of Xbox Game Pass, costing around $14.99 per month, but it gives subscribers considerable value. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get access to everything available to those with the vanilla version of the service in addition to all the PC Game Pass titles, exclusive perks, and access to the EA Play library of games as well.

Any Xbox gamers that want to get the most bang for their buck should certainly consider signing up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. After all, April 14 is seeing the release of a new game that is only available to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, as it's coming to the service through its EA Play integration.

Even and Dicey

From today on, those with PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions can check out Lost in Random. Added to Game Pass through EA Play, Lost in Random is a quirky action-adventure game with a unique art style that has often been compared to the work of Tim Burton. In the game, players take on the role of a girl named Even who must explore the Kingdom of Random to save her sister Odd.

Lost in Random's gameplay is as unique as its art style, with Even teaming up with a living die named Dicey, and the two of them have to work together to cross worlds that resemble game boards. The game throws in some card battling mechanics for good measure. Its combat wasn't universally popular, but the game did get a lot of praise for its story and visuals, earning mostly positive reviews from critics overall.

Lost in Random isn't the last new Xbox Game Pass game for April 2022. Looking ahead, there's even more for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to look forward to later in April. While Microsoft has yet to reveal all the new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2022, it has been confirmed that April 28 will see Bugsnax and Unsouled join the service, both as day one releases.
