Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is about to get even better. Crunchyroll Premium is now available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
The news comes courtesy of the Xbox blog this morning and is what was being teased as "something orange coming to the service this week." The offering itself is courtesy of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks.
Previously, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks have included special offers and tie-ins with Disney+, Back 4 Blood, Fallout 76, and Apex Legends. Perks are additional, free membership benefits to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. In this instance, new Crunchyroll users will be able to access 75 days of Crunchyroll Premium: Mega Fan at no additional cost.
To be clear, this isn't a full-time bundle or deal between Crunchyroll and Xbox. The offer is only valid to new subscribers of the Crunchyroll service and must be claimed by February 8, 2022. Once the perk is claimed via the Perks gallery on the Xbox console, Xbox app on PC, or through the Xbox Game Pass mobile app on Android or iOS, users will be directed to the Crunchyroll site to activate their subscription.
Once the membership is active, users will have 75 days to make use of the service. This includes streaming without ads, unlimited access to the Crunchyroll library, new episodes one hour after Japan, access to English manga, simultaneous streaming on four devices, offline viewing, first access to special Crunchyroll Expo events and lotteries, and $15 off $100 purchase in the Crunchyroll store every 3 months.
Crunchyroll is arguably the most popular and highest-rated anime streaming service on the market. Users are able to view over 1000 series which includes over 30,000 episodes completely ad-free and get access to new episodes one hour after they air in Japan. Popular titles One Piece, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer call Crunchyroll home. Once subscribed, members can stream the service on Android, Apple TV, iOS, PlayStation 4, Roku, and Xbox.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a game subscription service from Microsoft for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10/11, and Android and iOS via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Players are able to enjoy over 100 titles across console, PC, and mobile. In addition to first-party titles and partnered games, users also get an EA Play membership at no additional cost. In addition to being able to play games that are included with the service, members also get Xbox Live Gold. New games are added to Xbox Games Pass and will sometimes be cycled out.
