August may be wrapping up, with many fans looking forward to all the new games, subscription service additions, and events taking place in September, but Xbox Game Pass is looking to wrap up with a bang. While August 31 is a sad day for Xbox Game Pass since it'll be losing some major games like Hades, August 30 is an almost perfect counterbalance to that.

Today, August 30, Xbox Game Pass is adding four new games to the service. Each of today's additions is a strong title for the service, but perhaps one stands out from the rest.

The four games available today are Commandos 3: HD Remaster, Immortality, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Tinykin. Commandos 3 HD and Immortals Fenyx Rising are available across all platforms, including cloud, consoles, and PC, whereas Tinykin is only available on console and PC, and Immortality is available on all platforms except Xbox One. The first title here is a revamped version of a beloved real-time strategy war game, while Immortals Fenyx Rising is a unique action-adventure RPG out of Ubisoft. Tinykin is similar to Pikmin in how little creatures follow the main protagonist, and it has some solid reviews too. However, the stand out of the bunch is Immortality, which is launching day one on Game Pass with absolutely rave reviews today.

Ahead of other reviews, Edge Magazine gave Immortality a perfect 10/10 score a few weeks back. This is noteworthy because the publication has only given 23 other games a perfect score since 1993, with the most recent before Immortality being Elden Ring. Of course, one publication is just one publication, but now that other reviews have poured in, it's basically unanimously praised. The PC version of Immortality, for example, has eighteen reviews—of those, there are eight perfect 10/10 scores and three that are below 90 (the lowest being 80). This makes its Metacritic score, as of this writing, a 92 granting it universal acclaim on the aggregate site. It also has a 92 on Xbox Series X, although with fewer reviews submitted so far.

Immortality is Sam Barlow's latest game, a known developer responsible for games like Her Story and Telling Lies. Immortality is an FMV horror game where players have to solve the mystery of actress Marissa Marcel's disappearance by studying clips from her films and more. With it on Game Pass, there's little reason not to check it out.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a handful of games every month.
