Subnautica has appeared in the list of Xbox Game Pass games that are leaving in November 2022, despite its departure not having been formally announced by Microsoft. As usual, Microsoft kicked off November 2022 by giving fans a preview of what to expect from Xbox Game Pass in the first two weeks of the month. This included all the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the first half of November 2022, as well as a list of the games that are leaving the service this month.

In total, Microsoft confirmed seven games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass in the first half of November. Football Manager 2022 and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition are leaving Xbox Game Pass on November 8, while Art of Rally, Fae Tactics, Next Space Rebels, One Step from Eden, and Supraland are all leaving Game Pass on November 15. Since this announcement, however, Xbox Game Pass users have noticed Subnautica is also appearing in the service's Leaving Soon section.

It's possible Subnautica has been added to this section in error. It's also possible that Subnautica was always planned to leave Xbox Game Pass on November 15, and the error was that it was left out of the list of games that are being removed this month. Another possibility is that Subnautica will be getting the boot from Xbox Game Pass later in November, perhaps as part of the games that are leaving on November 30.

Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving November 2022 List

SUBNAUTICA
  • Football Manager 2022 - November 8
  • Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition - November 8
  • Art of Rally - November 15
  • Fae Tactics - November 15
  • Next Space Rebels - November 15
  • One Step from Eden - November 15
  • Supraland - November 15
  • Subnautica - TBA

No clarification has been offered on the matter at the time of this writing, so anyone interested in playing Subnautica through Xbox Game Pass should make plans to do so sooner rather than later. Subnautica, for the uninitiated, is a survival game where players explore a dangerous ocean on an alien planet. It earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release in 2018, and it has been praised as one of the finer survival games on the market.

Subnautica was popular enough to justify development of a sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero, which launched in 2021. Subnautica: Below Zero was featured on Xbox Game Pass as well, but it was unfortunately removed as part of the Xbox Game Pass September 2022 updates. Assuming Subnautica being listed in the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section isn't an error, soon subscribers to the service will lose access to the entire survival game franchise.

As always, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can purchase games on the service at a 20% discount while they're still available, so anyone that wants to get Subnautica to keep for a little cheaper than usual should consider buying it while they can still get the deal.
