Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service has really become the company's bread and butter, with a huge focus on adding new titles to the lineup to keep fans subscribed and gain new subscribers. In that spirit, Microsoft has already added some new Xbox Game Pass games in September 2021, with three more added to the lineup on September 9, including some titles that are day one Xbox Game Pass games, making their debut on the service on the same day as their launch.

The three new Xbox Game Pass games added on September 9 include Breathedge, Nuclear Throne, and The Artful Escape. All three of the games are available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to check out now and play to their hearts' content. Microsoft does not typically reveal Xbox Game Pass removal dates until we're just a couple of weeks out from the titles being removed, so it's unclear exactly how long these games will remain on the service.

For those wondering exactly what these titles are, Breathedge is a survival game that challenges players to survive in the harsh environment of outerspace. It earned somewhat mixed reviews when it first released, but now survival game fans can check it out with minimal risk since it's available on Xbox Game Pass.

The other two Xbox Game Pass games added on September 9 are day one Xbox Game Pass titles. Nuclear Throne, while available for other platforms for quite some time, is just now making its Xbox debut. The Artful Escape, meanwhile, is a completely brand new game, having never been released at all until now that it's been made available on Xbox Game Pass. As for how they play, Nuclear Throne is a roguelike twin-stick shooter, whereas The Artful Escape is a side-scroller with a narrative focus.

These aren't the only new games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass throughout the month of September. While the full Xbox Game Pass lineup for the second half of September has yet to be revealed, subscribers can look forward to Skatebird on September 16, Aragami 2 on September 17, Sable on September 23, and Lemnis Gate on September 28.

Of course, there will also be some games removed from Xbox Game Pass as well, with most of the titles that are leaving getting pulled on September 15. Forza Motorsport 7 is being delisted, so it's being removed from Xbox Game Pass on September 15 alongside some other notable games, like Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. Red Dead Online is also leaving Xbox Game Pass, though it's getting the boot a couple of days earlier, on September 13.
