The September list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass has released, and it has some highly-acclaimed additions. Xbox Game Pass seems to be building itself to be even better as Xbox players approach the next-generation of games, especially when combined with the upcoming Xbox Series S console. Players will soon have five new games to play, releasing between September 17 and September 24.

Starting off on September 17, Company of Heroes 2 is releasing for PC Game Pass. This is the sequel to the highest-rated RTS game of all time, so tactical players are in for a treat. This game comes with five armies to play, as well as cover and armor systems. There is single player, multiplayer, and plenty of environments to enjoy in this real-world combat game.

One of the two biggest additions comes September 22 with Halo 3: ODST for Android and PC. The beta testing for ODST on PC has been going on for a little while, and it is finally ready to be fully unveiled. Players can experience this stealthy and tactical Halo story as they explore a city under attack. In addition, ODST Firefight is coming to The Master Chief Collection on console and PC, so troops can defend against waves of Covenant aliens on dedicated servers with online matchmaking.

The second big addition, also on September 22, is Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Forsaken on Android and Console. Players can create their character, explore the solar system, and loot powerful gear while gaining unique class abilities. There are plenty of co-op missions, versus modes, and a cinematic story told across these two expansions. If any gamer has heard of Destiny but hasn’t wanted to take the leap, now might be the time to check it out.

Coming to Android and Console on September 24 is Warhammer: Vermintide 2. In the sequel to the highly popular Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, players take on different classes as they fight their way through city streets and hoards of enemies. The sequel includes a new enemy, over a dozen career paths, and plenty of talent trees and weapons. Players can fight solo or with up to three friends as they combat nearly endless enemies with swords, bows, guns, and magic.

The last game being added this month is Night in the Woods, and it will release on Android, Console, and PC. This lets gamers experience an interesting story about returning home to find their friends and town changed. There are dozens of characters and a lively town to explore in this strange single-player story. now with the news of EA Play partnering with Game Pass, this is definitely not the end of great stories being accessible to Xbox Game Pass owners.
