A new game has been confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, set to join the lineup starting Tuesday, October 4. Microsoft was expected to give the full announcement to all the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the first two weeks of October 2022, but has yet to do so. Fans will have to wait until tomorrow or maybe even later in the week for the proper reveal, but in the meantime, they've been clued in to a game that's joining the lineup on October 4.
Previous announcements have confirmed a variety of games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2022, including a number of day one releases. And now thanks to the official Xbox Game Pass Twitter account, subscribers know of yet another game they can expect this month. Starting Tuesday, October 4, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play medieval melee combat game Chivalry 2.
Chivalry 2 first released last year for various platforms. It earned mostly positive reviews from critics, who gave it much higher marks than its more divisive predecessor, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, and so it should make a fine addition to the Xbox Game Pass lineup. It's possible it will be joined by other titles on October 4, but again, Microsoft has yet to reveal the full slate of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October, so fans will have to hang tight for more information on that front.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers don't know all the new games coming to the service in October 2022, but there are more games that have been confirmed besides Chivalry 2. On October 6, fellow medieval fantasy game Medieval Dynasty is joining Xbox Game Pass, while October 11 will see the additions of Coral Island (for PC Game Pass) and Eville. PC Game Pass is also getting Dyson Sphere Program on October 13.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also look forward to Norco on October 20, Persona 5 Royal on October 21, and Gunfire Reborn on October 27. Along with these games, there are a few new Xbox Game Pass games for October 2022 that should be especially appealing for horror game fans who are looking for something to play this Halloween season.
One such game is Scorn, a first-person horror game with a disturbing art style that's set to launch on October 14, moved up from its previous October 21 release date. Another is A Plague Tale: Requiem, which is set to join the lineup on October 18. And finally, there's Signalis, which is inspired by old-school survival-horror games, and is joining Xbox Game Pass on October 27.
Chivalry 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
