Every month brings with it new Xbox Game Pass games, and that holds true for October 2021. Microsoft kicked off the month by adding strategy game Phoenix Point to Xbox Game Pass, and it has since confirmed eight more games that are coming to Game Pass between now and October 15, including multiple day one titles.
Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can try Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Then on October 7, they can check out The Procession to Calvary and Visage. Visage, for the uninitiated, is a P.T.-style horror game that has been hailed as one of the scariest video games of recent years. With Halloween right around the corner, Visage's addition to Xbox Game Pass makes a lot of sense.
Another horror game will be joining Xbox Game Pass five days later on October 12 in the form of Back 4 Blood. Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead and is a day one Xbox Game Pass release, making it an especially exciting title for subscribers. Game Pass subscribers across consoles, PC, and the Cloud will be able to play Back 4 Blood as soon as it releases through their Xbox Game Pass subscription.

The majority of the new Xbox Game Pass games in October are going to be available across PC, console, and Cloud, though one new addition is just for PC gamers. Destiny 2: Beyond Light, the latest Destiny 2 expansion is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on October 12, though it should be noted that the game is already available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on console, and has been since it launched last year.
On October 14, Game Pass subscribers can try Ring of Pain and day one Xbox Game Pass game The Riftbreaker. And finally, October 15 will see the release of day one Xbox Game Pass game The Good Life, developed by Swery.
This isn't an exhaustive list of all the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in October 2021. Microsoft likes to announce the new Xbox Game Pass titles in batches, focusing on the first half of the month first and then the second half of the month later. We already know Moonglow Bay is coming to Xbox Game Pass later in October, and it will be joined by a number of other games that have yet to be announced. For now, Xbox Game Pass fans can focus on the new games coming in the first half of the month.
