Microsoft has aggressively supported its Xbox Game Pass subscription service these past couple of years, constantly adding new games to the lineup and ensuring that there's always well over 100 titles available for subscribers to choose from. Microsoft recently pulled the curtain back on nine more Xbox Game Pass games coming to the service by the end of October, and it also added two games to the service today.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can now check out Into the Pit, a roguelike first-person shooter game that just released today, making it yet another day one Xbox Game Pass game for the month of October. Into the Pit is joined by the PC version of Outriders. While the console version of Outriders has been available to play through Xbox Game Pass since launch, this marks the first time that Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers have been able to play the game. There's crossplay and cross-progression, so anyone that's already started the game on console can jump to the PC version without having to worry about losing any progress.

These two new Xbox Game Pass games are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the second half of October. Cloud functionality has been added to Battlefield 4, plus October 21 will see the addition of three more Xbox Game Pass games as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Echo Generation, and Everspace 2 are all getting added. Indie game Moonglow Bay is expected to release for Xbox Game Pass on October 26, with October 28 set to be one of the biggest days for Xbox Game Pass in the entire month of October.

A whopping six games are currently scheduled to be added to Xbox Game Pass on October 28, headlined by the highly-anticipated PC exclusive Age of Empires 4. Other titles coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 28 include Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Backbone, Bassmaster Fishing 2022, Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, and The Forgotten City. The Forgotten City is an especially interesting addition to Xbox Game Pass, as it didn't release all that long ago.

While Microsoft regularly adds new games to Xbox Game Pass, it also removes games from the service as well. Microsoft has already confirmed 10 games leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of October, including indie hit Celeste as well as the first four Five Nights at Freddy's games. Anyone interested in playing the Xbox Game Pass games leaving in October 2021 should make it a point to do so while they're still available.

In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can try new additions Into the Pit and the PC version of Outriders as well while they wait for Dragon Ball FighterZ, Age of Empires 4, and everything else coming in October.
