While Xbox Game Pass will be losing four games later this month, including fighting game Tekken 7, Microsoft has softened the blow slightly by confirming that seven new titles will be added to the service this week and next week.

The first one technically isn't actually a game but an update to eFootball PES 2020, Konami's own football game alternative to FIFA. Rather than release a whole new game, Konami instead released a 2021 Season Update, though Game Pass owners don't need to own the original game in order to access the update.

Second is another fighting game to take Tekken 7's spot, the DC title Injustice 2. Developed by NetherRealm, the studio behind Mortal KombatInjustice 2 takes place in a world where Superman went bad and, alongside other heroes, took over the world. The sequel takes place after his defeat, with Batman and his allies attempting to rebuild the world, but he and Superman find themselves forced to work together when the Earth is invaded by Brainiac.

Third is a lesser known point-and-click adventure game called The Little Acre. Set in 1950s Ireland, players take control of Aiden and his young daughter Lily. Aiden, while searching for his missing father, finds himself transported to another world, resulting in Lily searching for him. The game features hand-drawn animation and full voice acting, and was executive produced by Charles Cecil, who worked on the Broken Sword series. These three games will be available on Xbox Game Pass from January 7th.

Next is Neoverse, which is described as a strategic, action, rogue-lite, deck building game that takes players on a journey across multiple timelines. After that is Torchlight 3, a dungeon-crawler/action RPG that initially began as an MMO. It's also the most recently released game on the list, having come out back in October.

What Remains of Edith Finch Diary

Then there is the award-winning What Remains of Edith FinchThough it's short, lacks replayability, and may be dismissed by some as a walking simulator game, it received universal acclaim for its storytelling. Players control Edith as she returns to her family home and learns more about her various family members, who all tragically died due to a perceived curse.

And lastly, there's indie RPG YIIK: A Postmodern RPGwhich centres around college graduate Alex and his friends as they work to solve the mystery of a woman's strange disappearance. Though it boasts a lot of unique features for an RPG, it received mixed reviews when it launched in 2019.

These four games will become available on Xbox Game Pass on January 14th.
