When it comes to signing up for Game Pass, consumers have multiple options to choose from. They can sign up for the vanilla Xbox Game Pass that gets them access to the library of games available on Xbox consoles, or they can sign up for PC Game Pass, which is the PC equivalent. Someone that really wants to get bang for their buck will want to sign up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which grants access to both the console and PC libraries in addition to a variety of other bonuses.

Those who are signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are getting the most out of the latest Game Pass additions, as two of the titles are PC Game Pass-only, while one is available to play across PC, the cloud, and consoles. Starting August 11, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play Cooking Simulator regardless of their platform of choice, while Expeditions: Rome and Offworld Trading Company are available for PC.

Cooking Simulator is exactly as its name sounds - a cooking simulator game. It earned mostly mixed reviews from critics, but Game Pass subscribers can try it for themselves and come to their own conclusions. Expeditions: Rome, meanwhile, is a tactical RPG that earned mostly positive reviews when it launched earlier this year courtesy of developer Logic Artists and publisher THQ Nordic. And finally, Offworld Trading Company is an RTS from 2016 that was also well-received by critics.

Cooking Simulator, Expeditions: Rome, and Offworld Trading Company are available for Game Pass subscribers to try today, but there's more to look forward to later in August. Microsoft has yet to properly announce all the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the second half of August 2022, but subscribers should be able to expect an announcement to come at some point early next week.

While the full lineup remains a mystery, previous announcements have let fans know of at least two more games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of August 2022. On August 23, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can try the indie brawler Midnight Fight Express, while August 30 will see the release of Immortality, Sam Barlow's next game. Immortality's launch is rather significant as the game has already earned a perfect 10/10 score from Edge magazine, which should drum up even more interest for it.

There are more new games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to look forward to later this month, but there are also games leaving the service as well. On August 15, Xbox Game Pass is losing Boyfriend Dungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Library of Ruina, Starmancer, and Train Sim World 2, so anyone interested in those games should make it a point to try them before they're given the boot.
