Microsoft continues to improve Xbox Game Pass with new rotations of games and Xbox has confirmed some rumors about Monster Hunter Rise joining the lineup of games. It was recently suggested that Xbox Game Pass has reached 25 million subscribers, and big additions like Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise could be part of what's drawing in more gamers.

The German Xbox Twitter account has confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in 2023, teasing a potential date with a clip of a Palico from the Capcom game. Monster Hunter Rise first released last year for the Nintendo Switch, and the arrival of the title on Game Pass next year will be its first addition to Xbox. Monster Hunter World has previously been included in the Xbox Game Pass lineup.

According to the German Xbox Twitter account in a since-deleted tweet, Monster Hunter Rise will be joining Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on January 20, 2023, something that has been heavily rumored for a few days. The announcement was accompanied by a GIF of a Palico kneeling to reach for its weapon that had been dropped at its feet before it looks up at an intimidating monster that has been replaced by the game's logo and important Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass date. Beyond being added to the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscription service in January, Monster Hunter Rise may also be available for standalone purchase on Xbox that date as well.

While platforms like the Nintendo Switch have several Monster Hunter titles available to choose between, the Xbox has Monster Hunter World and its expansion alone which leaves some limitations for Capcom fans on the console. Because some Monster Hunter Rise rumors suggested that the game is coming to PlayStation as well as Xbox, this announcement from the German Xbox Twitter account may be a hint at what date PS4 and PS5 fans could also acquire the game.

Many Monster Hunter fans have already expressed their enthusiasm for Monster Hunter Rise coming to the PlayStation and Xbox lineups, so many Game Pass subscribers are likely anticipating the January date.

Monster Hunter Rise is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC.
