It's easy to focus on Xbox Game Pass' additions every month because of how consistently and even quickly they tend to come in, but subscribers should always remain aware of when games are leaving. The service removes titles in the middle and end of every month, with Halloween serving as the latest Game Pass date for departures.

Even with this facet, Xbox Game Pass remains one of the greatest deals in gaming. Perhaps this year its biggest weakness was exposed, namely that Microsoft still needs to pack the service with day-one releases. The delays of Starfield and Redfall no doubt hurt the value of the service, but Phil Spencer promised a big 2023 for Xbox with these games and more. Once these are rolling in reliably, the whole service takes a big step up even if it's already at the top of the mountain.

Across Game Pass' PC, Console, and Cloud platforms, it is losing Alan Wake: American Nightmare, Backbone, Bassmaster Fishing 2022, Nonguns: Doppelganger Edition, Project Wingman, Second Extinction, Sniper Elite 4, and The Forgotten City. It's pretty clear, looking over these games, that there have definitely been more heartbreaking departures, but those who missed out on America Nightmare, Backbone, or The Forgotten City have definitely lost out.

Of course, Microsoft will no doubt add plenty of more games to replace these next month. In fact, Xbox Game Pass already has seven games confirmed for November 2022. Three of these release within the first week of the month, but Microsoft is likely to announce more as the month kicks off. Either way, the currently lined-up games include The Legend of Tianding (November 1 - Console and PC), Ghost Song (Nov 3 - Console, PC, and Cloud), Humankind (Nov 4 - Console), Football Manager 2023 (Nov 8 - Console, PC, and Cloud), Pentiment (Nov 15 - Console, PC, and Cloud), Gungrave G.O.R.E (Nov 22 - Console, PC, and Cloud), and Warhammer 40K Darktide (Nov 30 - PC).

In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect more reveals in the coming days, with the next date where fans will leave the service taking place on November 15.
