Many are eagerly awaiting a new announcement for upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles, and the service is likely to do so in the next few days. After all, there’s only a handful of games slated after May 17, but this fits into Game Pass’ every two weeks’ approach. However, Xbox Game Pass is losing some major games, today, May 15.

It should be noted that this is nothing new, as many Xbox Game Pass subscribers are likely aware. Xbox Game Pass removes games every month, but the standout factor is that it still adds more than it takes away. In other words, Xbox Game Pass proves its value time and again, and it effectively increases it too. But, many fans should be aware of the games exiting the subscription service today as well.

6 Great Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15

Final Fantasy 10 Iconic Tidus

Fans have known about this for quite some time, hopefully either downloading and beating the Xbox Game Pass games or taking advantage of the store discount on them. Either way, the following six games are being removed from Xbox Game Pass today.

  • Enter the Gungeon - May 15
  • Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster - May 15
  • Remnant: From the Ashes - May 15
  • Steep - May 15
  • The Catch: Carp and Coarse - May 15
  • The Wild at Heart - May 15

The first three are arguably the hardest losses for the service. Enter the Gungeon has a cult following, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster are iconic FF games, and Remnant: From the Ashes is a solid co-op Soulslike shooter. Even if someone didn’t get a chance to play them on Xbox Game Pass, they are worth whatever price the store is charging for them.

Steep, as a sports simulator on snowy mountains, and The Catch, as a fishing simulator, may be the more niche games here, but these had their followings and many fans of either real-world activity likely enjoyed them on the digital front too. Meanwhile, The Wild at Heart is a beloved indie game, truly putting itself among the top three in terms of popularity and quality.

Xbox Game Pass may be dropping these 6 games today, but there’s no doubt more than 6 games will be added in the coming weeks. Fans can probably expect Xbox Game Pass to lose more games at the end of May, so they should be sure to keep an eye out for those in case it’s a game or two they’ve been waiting to try.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a handful of free games every month.
