Many subscribers are eagerly awaiting the first Xbox Game Pass announcement of the year, which based on past announcement patterns should take place on January 3, but the Xbox app has already been updated ahead of then. This reveals that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition, Nobody Saves the World, Pupperazi, The Anacrusis, and Windjammers 2 are all leaving Xbox Game Pass this month.

It should be noted that, because this information comes from the app, it is rather reliable. However, Xbox Game Pass has changed things last minute before. Hot Wheels Unleashed was announced for Xbox Game Pass one day, for it to be delayed the very next for example. Something similar could happen, especially since it only appears to be five games and the past few months have seen upwards of that. Now, it's certainly possible it's just these five, but fans should sit tight for more info.

As it stands, users can expect these games to leave both the console and PC versions of Game Pass on January 15. Luckily, players should be able to beat these games, if they so choose, before their departure. Those that can't or just want to permanently add them to their library should be aware that they'll be on sale with a 20% discount, per usual, following the official announcement thereof.

Xbox Game Pass List - Leaving January 2023

  • Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition
  • Nobody Saves the World
  • Pupperazi
  • The Anacrusis
  • Windjammers 2

While many fans are excited to see the new Xbox Game Pass games for January 2023, not just those leaving, it should be noted a few titles have already been confirmed before the calendar turned over. In fact, some pretty big games have already been confirmed. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden join the service on January 19, Monster Hunter Rise joins on January 20, and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Inkulinati join on January 31.

Fans should expect some new releases ahead of those, though, as each of these games fall into the "second wave" of games Microsoft releases every month. Right now, it looks like a ghost town for the next two weeks, but the upcoming Xbox Game Pass announcement will easily change that.

Xbox Game Pass users get a handful of games every month.
