At the end of last week, Xbox Game Pass subscribers got a big surprise when Rockstar Games' acclaimed Grand Theft Auto 5 was added to Microsoft's popular service. While many players are sure to now be busying themselves with this legendary title, it is certainly not the only game that fans can expect to hit Xbox Game Pass in this first month of 2020, and Microsoft has just revealed three more that will be available very soon.

Specifically, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have access to FrostpunkSword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, and Tekken 7 on their Xbox One consoles later this month. With respect to exact dates, Frostpunk and Sword Art Online: Fatal Blow are up first, hitting Microsoft's service this Thursday, January 9, and Tekken 7 will follow next week on Thursday, January 16.

For players that are curious to learn more about these titles, Frostpunk is a unique strategy game set in an alternate reality where the world has frozen over. Combining elements of city-building and survival, Frostpunk was first released for PC in 2018, and it has received both critical acclaim and numerous accolades.

Next up is Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, an action RPG from 2018 and followup to 2016's Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. Set in a virtual reality MMORPG, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet received middling reviews upon its release, but fans of the anime series and manga may still be pleased to see the title added to Xbox Game Pass.

Finally, Tekken 7 is the latest entry in Bandai Namco's legendary fighting game franchise, and it was released for consoles in 2017. While this means that the game is several years old at this point, the developer continues to introduce new Tekken 7 characters, and its availability through Xbox Game Pass could extend its lifespan even further.

Without question, Xbox Game Pass has solidly established itself as a truly phenomenal service, and these new additions for January 2020 suggest that Microsoft has no plans on slowing things down in this new year. For players that may not find anything of interest in these three titles, there are certain to be many more games added to Xbox Game Pass in the upcoming weeks and months, and fans should expect more information on future offerings in relatively short order.
