Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service is stacked with high-quality games, though one of the highest-rated titles that fans can check out is indie hit Hades. Roguelike Hades is in fact one of the highest-rated games ever made, and so it stands as one of the best reasons to have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Unfortunately, it's quite possible that Hades will actually be leaving the Xbox Game Pass lineup in the relatively near future, so those that have yet to play the game for themselves should be sure to try it out while they still can.

Before continuing, it should be stressed that Hades has not been confirmed to be leaving the Xbox Game Pass service yet. However, a leak from earlier this year suggested that Hades would be removed from Xbox Game Pass in August 2022. Not only that, but Xbox Game Pass games typically stay on the service for a year at a time. Hades was added to Xbox Game Pass in August 2021, and so it makes sense that it would be removed soon.

The good news is that we know Hades won't be removed in the middle of the month. Microsoft has only confirmed five games to be leaving Xbox Game Pass on August 15, and luckily, Hades isn't one of them. However, Microsoft removes games from Xbox Game Pass in two batches, with the second wave of removals occurring on the last day of the month. It's entirely within the realm of possibility that Hades will be part of the second batch of removals on August 31, but fans will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out if that's truly the case or not.

Until an announcement is made to the contrary, the safest bet is that Hades is likely going to be removed from Xbox Game Pass in the near future, even if it's not pulled this month like many expect. Considering this, those that have yet to play the game should make it a point to try it out as soon as possible. Hades is a long game to fully complete, but there should still be time to finish it before it's pulled from Game Pass.

And those that end up enjoying Hades but don't finish it before it's removed from Game Pass should note that it's available at a discount for a limited time. Like all other games available on the Xbox Game Pass service, Hades can be purchased at a 20% discount.
