Xbox Game Pass continues to be one of the best values in gaming. Whether it be massive upcoming first-party hits like Halo Infinite or four more day one entries to Xbox Game Pass this week, the subscription service is a bang for the buck that is hard to deny. That does not mean that games do not leave the platform as well, however. There are some games that are on their way out of Xbox Game Pass in the coming days, but players may want to give them a try before they leave.
Xbox Game Pass will be losing 10 games at the end of October. There are some pretty big hits leaving the subscription service in the next few days, including the likes of Celeste, Eastshade, and a quartet of Five Nights at Freddy's games. If players would like to enjoy any of these titles before they leave Xbox Game Pass, they may be interested in knowing how long it would take to beat them.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Carto (Console/PC)
Carto is a map-building adventure game developed by Sunhead Games and published by Humble Games. The indie title takes about five and a half hours to beat. However, if spending extra time to complete the game 100% for a completionist style run, it may take about six and a half to seven hours instead. Xbox Game Pass subscribers who are looking for a quick game to complete before the title leaves the service may find enjoyment with Carto.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Celeste (Console/PC)
Another game that can be perhaps be completed in a weekend with late-night gaming sessions is Celeste, a game that is considered one of the best indie titles in recent memory. Of any of the games that are leaving the service, this is the one that could be the most disappointing. But with that in mind, Xbox Game Pass subscribers should play Celeste before it is gone if they have the opportunity.
It takes about eight hours to complete the main story of Celeste. However, a completionist run of the indie hit that was directed and written by Maddy Thorson and programmed by Thorson Berry and Noel Berry could take up to 40 hours. It seems unlikely that a completionist run will be doable before the game is taken off of Xbox Game Pass if it has not yet been started.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Comanche (PC)
Comanche is another title leaving Xbox Game Pass by the end of October. The THQ Nordic published helicopter simulator takes place in an alternative future setting. The game features a single-player campaign and team-based multiplayer. While there is not a lot of data on how long it takes to beat Comanche, there are 11 missions in the game. Meanwhile, players can attempt to collect all 44 medals for an added challenge.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Eastshade (Console/PC)
Eastshade is an underrated open-world exploration adventure. Developed and produced by Eastshade Studios, the immersive experience allows players to explore and paint the world around them. There is also something unique and special about non-combat-related open-world games, which Eastshade is. Along with being a visually impressive game, the score composed by Phoenix Glendinning is something that fans latched onto as well.
For a completionist run of Eastshade, players will have to devote about fifteen hours. However, it takes about nine and a half hours to beat the main game. If players are looking for something to do this weekend, sneaking in Eastshade - one of the best indie open-world games - before it exits Xbox Game Pass may not be a bad idea.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Knights and Bikes (Console/PC)
Often compared to Night in the Woods, Knights and Bikes is a narrative co-op adventure game developed by Foam Sword Games. The small team made of former Media Molecule staff created quite the indie hit, but its Xbox Game Pass window ends soon. Players can beat Knights and Bikes in eight hours or achieve a completionist run in about eleven.
How Long it Would Take to Beat Unruly Heroes (Console/PC)
Unruly Heroes has long been an underrated Xbox Game Pass title, but now it will soon leave the platform. The action platformer developed and published by Magic Design Studios has a unique art style and setting, allowing it to stand out. Unruly Heroes takes about eight and a half hours to beat. For a completionist run, players may spend up to twelve hours.
How Long it Would Take to Beat the Five Nights at Freddy's Games (Console/PC)
Xbox Game Pass is losing many horror games soon, and multiple Five Nights at Freddy's games lead that list. The spooky month is a perfect time to play horror games, but losing the chance to play those games is certainly disappointing. That being said, the Five Nights at Freddy's titles are very bite-sized, so it is possible to enjoy one, or even all four of the games, on Xbox Game Pass before they leave the service.
The original Five Nights at Freddy's takes about two and a half hours to beat, especially when common Five Nights at Freddy's mistakes occur. A completionist run will take around five and a half hours. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is the anomaly among the series in terms of how long it takes to beat the game or go for 100 percent. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 should take three hours to beat. However, a completionist run may take twenty hours.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3's main story takes about two and a half hours to beat. Meanwhile, a completionist run should take about five hours. Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is just like 3 and the first Five Nights at Freddy's in that it takes about two and a half hours to beat. Completing the game fully takes four hours.
If players were to attempt to beat the mainline story of all of the games that are going to leave Xbox Game Pass in the next couple of days, it would take about fifty hours. For a completionist run of each of these games combined it would take one hundred thirteen hours. Time is running out, so it may not be possible to play all of the games, but there are some good options and a wide variety. As such, Xbox Game Pass subscribers may want to jump on the opportunity to play any titles that sound interesting to them before they leave the service.
