Earlier today, Microsoft announced a lineup of new titles making their way to Xbox Game Pass over the next week, including the likes of For Honor and Darkest Dungeon. As has become standard for the service, an influx of new additions usually means that several games have to depart Game Pass, and sadly, the recent reveal on Xbox Wire confirmed that five games will be taking their leave on June 15.
The titles slated to be removed from the service are Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Wizard of Legend, Night Call, West of Dead, and Observation. Players will have just over two weeks to hop into the five games while they're still available on Xbox Game Pass.
As for what new players can expect from the titles, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is the latest iteration of the long-running combat flight simulator franchise, allowing players to take to the skies in a variety of different aircrafts. The game offers controls for both beginners and veteran flyers, throwing them into a fully-fledged story campaign or letting them battle it out in an array of action-packed multiplayer modes. It initially launched in early 2019, garnering positive reviews from critics.
Meanwhile, No Code's Observation is a sci-fi adventure game entirely framed from the perspective of an AI on a space station. Following the mysterious loss of the ship's crew, players have to investigate the craft's cryptic secrets while also ensuring the safety of its only remaining astronaut, Emma Fisher. It was a critical success at launch, with reviews praising its plot and unique puzzles.
As for Night Call, it sees players take on the role of a taxi driver, navigating the streets of Paris as they talk to customers in an attempt to catch a serial killer. Wizard of Legend, on the other hand, is a fantasy roguelike that offers procedurally generated dungeons, spell-focused combat, towering bosses, and a striking pixel-art style. Finally, West of Dead is a twin-stick cover shooter set in purgatory, with the player having to take on witches, demons, wendigos, and more. All five games offer very different experiences and are definitely worth a play prior to their departure on June 15.
As for what's coming to Xbox Game Pass, players can expect to hear a lot more later this month, with Microsoft promising to go over future additions to the service at its E3 show on June 13. It will also talk about plenty of other Xbox and Bethesda projects, with fans speculating that titles like Halo Infinite, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Fable, and Starfield are likely to make an appearance.
