Completionism is a persistent fascination amongst gamers, as it offers additional content and challenge. Achievements and trophies align with this idea, and their visibility makes them not only a history of what games a person has played, but a metric by which to measure their skill. Xbox's Gamerscore often serves as a badge of pride for players, but in the past, Microsoft has also offered Reward Points for Gamerscore's up to 10,000. There's a variety of reasons to build up Gamerscore, especially if the Xbox account is new, but luckily there's plenty of games available on the Xbox Game Pass that can easily net 1,000 Gamerscore in a minimal amount of time.

Achieving a 1,000 Gamerscore can be difficult to achieve in longer games with various finicky achievements, so short games with fewer achievements are ideal for building Gamerscore. There is, of course, plenty of debate around just how easy some achievements are, since player skill will come into play. However, several games on Xbox Game Pass can net some significant Gamerscore in under three hours by completing all achievements. Genres preference aside, the added benefit of these titles being on Game Pass is that players can try them out for free if they're a subscriber. While some of these games might take an individual player longer to complete, they can always move onto another title to beef up their Gamerscore.

Quick, Easy, and Fun Xbox Game Pass Games

deeeer Simulator Street
  • Townscaper
  • DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everday Deer Game
  • Donut Country
  • Unpacking
  • Rubber Bandits

Townscaper and DEEEER Simulator are two recent additions to Game Pass that are easy to get 1,000 Gamerscore with. Townscaper is an incredibly simple and relaxing game that has gotten great reviews on Steam. A central theme of the game is that it has no larger goal, but there are 10 achievements players should have no problem with. DEEEER Simulator is another absurdist simulator wherein players control a rowdy animal, similar to Goat Simulator or Untitled Goose Game, and has a total of 17 achievements. As well as having an easy list of achievements, DEEEER Simulator is also just a really fun and stress-free game to check out.

Donut Country is another fun, mindless game with 20 achievements that are easy to earn with some familiarity with the game. There are missable achievements, but with chapter select, these can easily be gathered at the end of the game. Unpacking is a recent game with great reviews that has 25 achievements. These achievements don't pose much difficulty and can be gathered in under two hours, but the game does emphasize slow and relaxing play, so it may take a little longer. Finally, Rubber Bandits is another option as a family-friendly game with 19 relatively easy achievements that, with a guide, can take about one or two hours to collect.

Story-Driven Xbox Game Pass Games

Calvin's space-themed room.
  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Tell Me Why
  • The Walking Dead: New Frontiers
  • The Walking Dead: Michonne

What Remains of Edith Finch is a game often cited in debates about video games as art. The game was highly praised by critics and fans alike, and with just 10 achievements, it's a good choice for anyone looking for a great game experience as well as 1,000 Gamerscore. There are missable achievements, and one skill-based one, but on the whole, they aren't that difficult to achieve since the game is preoccupied with delivering an effective story.

Tell Me Why is another engaging game that received high praise for both its story and its transgender representation. However, this game has 30 achievements, so it will take a little longer than What Remains of Edith Finch, but shouldn't pose much difficulty.

The Walking Dead: New Frontiers and The Walking Dead: Michonne are two Telltale games available on Xbox Game Pass that have relatively easy achievements. Michonne is definitely the quicker option, especially for fully experiencing the narrative of the game; Michonne has 21 achievements and New Frontiers has 30. However, all players need to do to collect these achievements is play through the game fully, as they are all story-related. As such, although it may take a little more time without speedrunning, it's very achievable to get 1,000 Gamerscore with either game.

Puzzles, Point-and-Click, and Miscellaneous Xbox Game Pass Games

The Little Acre
  • Doom 64
  • Day of the Tentacle
  • The Little Acre
  • The Sims 4

Doom 64 is somewhat of an anomaly on this list as the only shooter, but fans of this classic should have no problem collecting all 10 achievements and gaining 1,000 Gamerscore. With a guide this is made even easier, and the achievements can be collected in as little as an hour using passwords. Even without this though, fans of the genre and the series shouldn't have too much difficulty with Doom 64.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered and The Little Acre are two point-and-click games, and although they have 58 and 27 achievements respectively, these are all easy to collect. The point-and-click genre is often thought to be one of the easiest to collect achievements in, and both games mentioned can get players 1,000 Gamerscore in about one or two hours. The Gardens Between is a puzzle game with 17 achievements to unlock. While there are some collectibles to gather, both the puzzles and achievements in this game are relatively easy and the entire game only takes two hours to complete.

Finally, The Sims 4 has 50 achievements that players who know the game well can collect in two or three hours. Obviously, using a guide is the easiest and most efficient way to gather achievements and build up a Gamerscore, and so all of the time estimates mentioned above are influenced by this. Games like The Sims 4 require either a guide or deep familiarity with the game to gather the achievements in as little as two or three hours, so for other players it will likely take longer.

However, time differences aside, all of the games mentioned have simple achievements that can net the player 1,000 Gamerscore. Essential to the ease of getting 1,000 Gamerscore in these games is a Game Pass subscription to unlock all necessary content at no additional cost.
