Another round of games is leaving Game Pass soon, including well-known additions like Final Fantasy 15. Microsoft's subscription service Game Pass cycles through titles consistently, but some of the games leaving soon may be surprising.

For a monthly subscription, players can access a diverse catalog of games from many publishers, like Microsoft and Electronic Arts. While some of the titles available are the ultimate experiences, like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Game Pass comes with limits. Typically, there will be a "leaving soon" post that describes which games are dropping from the service. Once that happens, they are no longer available for players to access, so mileage can vary for an individual.

On the chopping block for February 1 are just five games, but a couple of them could be disappointing for subscribers. Possibly the biggest game leaving is Final Fantasy 15, which is leaving both Xbox and PC. Microsoft's inclusion of Final Fantasy games is a boon for Game Pass, but it looks like players will not be able to experience them all at the same time. Indie games Indivisible and Gris are being removed from the list as well.

Finishing out the list of games leaving the service are Sea Salt and the fishing simulator Fishing Sim World Pro Tour. Fans of the games mentioned will need to enjoy these available titles while they last. That said, even when these games drop out players still have the option to purchase them normally. Current Game Pass titles get discounts, which may be just what a fan needs to pick up the game normally.

Xbox Game Pass offers a lot of games for the monthly price. Triple-a like Forza Horizon 4 and Gears 5 add value to the service, and that's just naming a few. With other major publishers like EA joining in, the catalog of available games continues to grow. Microsoft also gives a warning about games that are leaving, so players have time to play any titles before becoming unavailable.

Some may take issue with a game like Final Fantasy 15 being removed despite more Final Fantasy games being added. While it has been available for some time already, it goes to show that not even famous games are safe from the ax. If any gamers were hoping to play through all the Final Fantasy games chronologically on Game Pass, that dream will be slipping away shortly. It is unfortunate that certain games leave with no way for Game Pass holders to continue playing without buying outright. However, many of the top games are still on the service for fans to access, with no signs of leaving.
