The Xbox Series X Gameplay Event had a ton of new reveals, including a new Fable game and the Halo Infinite gameplay reveal, and the promise of additional events. One of the biggest takeaways was the focus on the Xbox Game Pass, and fans are getting pretty excited about it.

There were a lot of game reveals that are getting a lot of people psyched up for the Xbox Series X, but more importantly, all of these games will be available on the Xbox Game Pass. Some people have pointed out that Microsoft's shift to going all-in on the Game Pass looks like it's trying to make the service into "Xbox Premium."  For the most part, Twitter users were huge fans.

The official Twitter account for the service, @XboxGamePass, tweeted the news about all the new games being available to Game Pass users with the caption "We'll file this one under 'good news'." The tweet has over 11,000 likes and has drawn responses like "I'm in" and "Thanks xbox loved the line-up." User @its_menieb mentioned the PlayStation official account and called it out for not offering a similar service, although another user defended PlayStation by claiming its games are better. However, other users pointed out that if Sony doesn't offer a similar service to Microsoft, it could risk falling behind.

Online designer and content creator Jack "CouRage" Dunlap tweeted his main takeaways from the Xbox event, saying that Xbox is now "all-in" on the Game Pass service which is "100% a must-have if you play on Xbox." A few other users commented that this applies to PC users as well, and that the PC Game Pass is also a great service. Game Pass is available for Xbox and PC, but probably won't be for PlayStation or Switch, at least not any time soon.

Some users on Twitter are calling the Game Pass the "best deal in gaming" at the moment, and the numbers show that many people agree. Xbox Game Pass subscriptions are at their highest point right now, as gaming time in general skyrockets during the pandemic and people buy more consoles and games. With so many games coming to the service, subscriptions are likely to rise even higher as a wider selection means a wider audience.

While many users are excited about the Game Pass, not all were positive about other aspects of the event. Twitter user @Okami_ said the Gameplay Event was an amazing ad for Xbox Game Pass, although the user expressed doubt that the event will convince anyone to purchase an Xbox Series X. Although some people are concerned about the console's price, the Xbox Series X will have a large selection of games available at launch, and some people just prefer console to PC. Whatever people play on, the Xbox Game Pass is more worth it than ever to look into investing in.
