Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service is steadily growing in popularity, and that's in large part thanks to the day one releases that have been coming to the service. Not only does Xbox Game Pass have well over 100 games for subscribers to try out at any given time, but the service also gives players instant access to brand new, day one releases as well. There are multiple new day one games added to Xbox Game Pass every month, ranging from first-party Xbox games to third-party titles, and November 2021 already has quite a few confirmed.

There were some big day one Xbox Game Pass games released for October 2021, including the Left 4 Dead spiritual successor co-op zombie shooter game Back 4 Blood and the long-awaited return of real-time strategy game Age of Empires 4, but Game Pass is not slowing down for November. Microsoft has not revealed all of the new Xbox Game Pass games coming as part of November 2021 at the time of this writing, but fans already know of at least six day one games that will be a part of the lineup.

  • The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition (November 11)
  • UnDungeon (November 18)
  • Evil Genius 2: World Domination (November 30)

So far, there are six day one releases confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in November 2021. However, it's highly likely that there are even more day one Xbox Game Pass games in store for subscribers for November. After all, it's not uncommon for Microsoft to release surprise Xbox Game Pass games alongside the titles that are announced ahead of time, plus it has yet to even reveal its full slate for November.

The way Microsoft usually handles Xbox Game Pass reveals is by announcing them in batches. An announcement for the Xbox Game Pass games for the first half of November 2021 will happen soon, at which point subscribers will know what to expect from the next couple of weeks besides the games that have already been announced. Then in the middle of the month, Microsoft will announce the games coming for the second half that are joining the previously-confirmed titles. The Xbox Game Pass games that are leaving the service will likely be highlighted around the same time as well.

So while the full Xbox Game Pass lineup for November 2021 is unknown at this point, subscribers do know of at least six day one games that are coming in November, including some rather heavy hitters. First off, there's Football Manager 2022, the latest installment in the soccer management sim that has earned critical acclaim. It will be launching for Xbox Game Pass on the same day as Forza Horizon 5, an Xbox-published title and a highly-anticipated open world racing game from Playground Games.

Forza Horizon 5 is arguably the headline Xbox Game Pass day one game for November 2021, but two other major releases are coming just a couple of days later. On November 11, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, the remastered version of the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas game, which is coming with revamped graphics, a new GTA 5-style control scheme, and much more.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition will be joined by The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition on November 11. The latest re-release of Skyrim, the Anniversary Edition of the game will bake in some new Creation Community content, meaning Skyrim players have new quests and gameplay mechanics to look forward to come November 11. The most highly-publicized new feature is Skyrim's fishing mechanic, which will not only allow users to catch fish to eat, sell, or keep as pets, but also has its own questline tied to it. Details remain scarce, but it's been teased that the Skyrim fishing quests will include an encounter with a large sea creature of some kind.

So even without knowing the full scope of what the Xbox Game Pass November 2021 games entail, it's clear that Microsoft is kicking the month off with a bang. The second half of the month only has a couple of day one games confirmed so far, but they should still prove to be great value to the service nevertheless. First up is indie game UnDungeon on November 18, followed by Evil Genius 2: World Domination. Evil Genius 2 has previously been available on PC, but it's making its console debut as a day one Xbox Game Pass release.

In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass subscribers already know of a couple of day one games coming in December 2021 as well. Popular social deduction game Among Us is coming on December 14, while Halo Infinite will be available through Xbox Game Pass beginning December 8.
