Despite announcing both Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate during E3 2019, support for the subscription service isn't slowing down. Today, Microsoft announced four more games coming to Game Pass, split between both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass PC. The highlight among them is likely the introduction of Banjo-Kazooie to Game Pass, care of Rare Replay, which is a fitting addition considering the pair's recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster invitation.

While Rare Replay technically offers 30 different games, for the sake of brevity, we'll say that it's a single offering, and that it will be released to Xbox Game Pass alongside three other games. Those games are Resident Evil Revelations, Torment: Tides of Numenera, and Goat Simulator. Both Rare Replay and Resident Evil Revelations will be available starting June 20, while Torment: Tides of Numenera and Goat Simulator join the subscription service on June 27.

As previously noted, not all of these games will be available for both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC. Specifically, Rare Replay and Resident Evil Revelations will be console-only. PC gamers will have to cross their fingers for Microsoft to port Rare Replay to PC down the line. Torment: Tides of Numenera will be a Game Pass PC exclusive, which is understandable given it's not available on console. Goat Simulator will be available on both services.

On the other side of the equation, six games will also be departing Xbox Game Pass at the end of June, so subscribers should dive into them if they want to make the most of the opportunity. They are:

  • Next Up Hero (June 27)
  • Dead Island Definitive  Edition (June 30)
  • Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition (June 30)
  • Shadow Complex Remastered (June 30)
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (June 30)
  • Zombie Army Trilogy (June 30)

With today's announcements, that likely makes up the entirety of the Game Pass plans for June.

rare replay 30 games

There's certainly a point to be made about six games being removed from Xbox Game Pass while only four games are being added. That's a net loss of three games from the Xbox Game Pass side of the service. On PC, it's nothing but good news, given the service just launched with dozens of games. It's possible that the changes announced during E3 2019 could mean a slowdown for Game Pass on console, but today's news isn't enough to make such a judgment. Rare Replay is 30 games, after all.
