Now that it's the middle of the month, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download a fresh batch of free games with Gold for April 2019. Currently, there are three free Games with Gold April 2019 games available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with two of those games available on Xbox One and one of those games being a backward compatible Xbox 360 title.

On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still download The TechnomancerThe Technomancer will be available to as one of the Xbox free games for April 2019 until April 30, so anyone who wants to download it will have until the end of the month to do so. Meanwhile, Outcast: Second Contact has been added the lineup as of April 16, and it will be available to download until May 15. For the uninitiated, Outcast: Second Contact is a remake of the classic action-adventure game Outcast that is credited with innovating the open world genre.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox 360, meanwhile, can now download Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2GRAW 2 replaces the original Xbox version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the Games with Gold lineup, and it similarly provides multiplayer shooter action. GRAW 2 earned critical acclaim at the time of its launch, and it remains one of the most highly-rated games in the Ghost Recon series.

These games will all be replaced in May, but it remains to be seen which titles will replace them.

We should find out the Xbox free games for May 2019 in about a week's time or so. Typically, Microsoft announces the free games about a week before the new month, and so fans shouldn't have to wait too much longer to find out. In the meantime, any Xbox Live Gold subscribers that want to add these free games to their collection should be sure to do so before May 1 rolls around (or May 15, in the case of Outcast: Second Contact).
