Now that January is almost over, all of the free Games with Gold for January 2021 are now available for subscribers to download. To those unfamiliar with January's roster of free games, Games with Gold subscribers will be able to access Little Nightmares, Dead Rising, and Breakdown, as The King of Fighters 13, has already left this month's line-up. Although January's roster of free games is decent enough compared to previous months, there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Longtime subscribers of Xbox Live Gold would know that Microsoft's selection of free games appears to be random, making it difficult to predict. Nonetheless,  here is a wish list of games that we would like to see on Xbox Live Gold's roster for February 2021 that is not meant to even try to predict but showcase some big games that would be great on the service. It is worth noting that the games listed here are not guaranteed to ever be included in Xbox's roster of monthly free games, but they are likely to increase Microsoft Live Gold's value and attractiveness.

GreedFall (Xbox One)

Since its release in September 2019, GreedFall is often considered one of the more underrated previous generation games. Despite its lack of popularity, GreedFall still received mostly positive reviews from players and critics thanks to its open-world environment and gameplay reminiscent of BioWare's Dragon Age. It is worth noting that GreedFall is currently being offered as a free game on PlayStation Plus, which is why it would be beneficial for Microsoft also to offer it to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Additionally, having GreedFall available on the Xbox Live Gold would expose the game to even more players, especially now that Xbox Series X and PS5 versions are currently in development.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Xbox One)

Another title that would be a great addition to Xbox Games with Gold is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Since its release in 2019, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order became a smashing hit for Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts. Although the game may be too new to be included in Xbox Games with Gold, it is worth noting that EA already confirmed that Fallen Order is just the first game in a new franchise. Having said that, including Fallen Order in Games with Gold will expose the game and the new Star Wars video game franchise to an even bigger player base. This could result in more interest in the Star Wars video game franchise, which is definitely a good thing for the sequel to Fallen Order once it is released in the future.

Limbo (Xbox 360)

When thinking of puzzle-platform video games that have made a tremendous impact in the gaming community, it is without a doubt that Playdead's Limbo would be on most people's list. Since its release in 2010, Limbo received critical acclaim from critics and players, thanks to its cleverly designed puzzles and simple controls. Although Limbo was already a success when it was first released on the Xbox 360, its popularity skyrocketed when it launched to other platforms. Additionally, Limbo became the third-highest selling game on Xbox Live Arcade in 2010, generating $7.5 million in revenue. Of course, given that it has been ten years since the game's launch, now is the perfect time for a new generation of players to discover it via Xbox Live Gold.

Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360)

Last on the list is Red Dead Redemption, released in 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Red Dead Redemption's events took place after the story of Red Dead Redemption 2, which was released in 2o18. Given this, it is likely that there are players who have already beaten Red Dead Redemption 2 but still haven't played the first game, which is why Microsoft should add it to February's roster of Xbox Games with Gold.
