An artist took to social media to post a slice of their creativity with a custom-made Xbox Wireless Controller modeled after the DiGiorno brand of frozen pizzas. The artist posted their creation on Twitter at the behest of the DiGiorno social media team, where it received attention from other users that asked about the artist and the Xbox controller. This is far from the first time that an Xbox product sported the logo and likeness belonging to a separate company, and vice versa. Collaborations with brands such as Doritos and Rockstar Energy, along with others, have been in Microsoft's repertoire for years. Between corporate and fan-made concepts, the Xbox brand has remained a prominent topic in social media, across different levels of context and content since the 2000s.RELATED: Microsoft Claims Xbox Will Be First 'Carbon Aware' ConsoleThough it is not a controller obtainable via Xbox Design Labs, an artist named POPeART_ on Twitter designed an Xbox Wireless Controller concept that carried the DiGiorno logo and colors. The majority of the controller's body is red, with yellow bumpers and triggers. The yellow coloring then blends into the top left side of the Xbox controller and covers the left stick and the central face buttons. The right stick, D-pad, and right side face buttons are red, with small textures made into each letter. The DiGiorno logo is also embedded on the right-hand grip of the controller, and small images of DiGiorno pizza slices adorn the majority of the controller's front side. The battery controller has the DiGiorno slogan printed in white letters to top it all off.

The pizza controller rendering from POPeART_ was done following a similar post on Instagram that they made during the Xbox and Oreo promotion. According to POPeART_, they went to work on the concept after the DiGiorno social media team made an informal request for one on Instagram, and the artist then wondered if a pizza controller would be more appropriate. Suffice it to say, social media users and the DiGiorno team alike took a liking to the controller. This morning, the DiGiorno Twitter feed quote-tweeted POPeART_ and their work. DiGiorno tweeted "IT'S BEAUTIFUL" and then tagged the Xbox Twitter feed in the tweet's replies.

Though POPeART_ stated that they mostly have done work with Microsoft in the past, and personally preferred Xbox controllers for PC gaming, they stated in subsequent tweets and replies that they have done work with different brands and different controllers as well. With the controller as their canvas, artists such as POPeART_ will continue to deliver creative concepts across social media, with no end in sight.
