Fortunately, the new alpha test by the Xbox team is addressing a few details that will categorize available content for gamers.Gamers have a lot of content at their fingertips, especially those who participate in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. While that content is fun for players to experience, it can be difficult to manage. The new Xbox change aims to let players know which titles are available and which ones are, for multiple reasons, unplayable.In a recent Twitter post by Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie, a screenshot of an Xbox interface change was released. The image shows that labels have been added to games on the dashboard that tell players why they might not be playable. For example, the labels/symbols can tell gamers that a title is missing its disk, that content has been uninstalled, or that a game on Xbox is unusable because it has left Game Pass.
This might not seem like a big change, but it will certainly be helpful for many gamers, especially those with a large library of games or a collection of physical content that they use for their Xbox Series X consoles. The proposed update also shows Xbox fans that the platform is dedicated to improving the gaming experience. In addition, there are a multitude of reasons why a game might not launch that the new update exposes. Players who are signed out, don't have a license, or are unable to play for many other reasons will be able to easily understand the problems that they face.
Indeed, this interface change will surely make using Xbox simpler, which means that players can focus more on gaming. And that's a good thing, considering the ever-expanding roster of titles that are coming to Xbox Game Pass, including games like Redfall and Hollow Knight: Silksong. While fans hoping for a bigger UI change won't be getting a huge overhaul, it is still good to see that the Xbox team is prioritizing the gaming experience. Even though the proposed update to the platform is still in alpha testing, it will hopefully represent a small step in the right direction for Xbox players.
