A new Xbox controller, entitled Lunar Shift, has been leaked online. A lot of gamers consider Xbox to have one of the best controllers on the market, and whether that belief is true or not, Microsoft has certainly capitalized on the fondness fans have for its accessories. From the original Xbox all the way up to the Series X/S, Microsoft has given fans plenty of options when it comes to the controllers they want to use, either with new designs or new models entirely.With so many designs and models available, on occasion Microsoft has suffered from leakers or websites such as Amazon unveiling its latest controllers before they are ready to be revealed. Back in July, the new Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 white version was shared online after a Twitter user received it early. Then, Amazon leaked the release date for the new Elite Series controller, even before the accessory was announced by Xbox.Now, Amazon has again reportedly leaked information on an Xbox controller, this time showing off a brand-new design. First spotted by Twitter user EspiaDeOfertas, the new Xbox controller is called Lunar Shift, and while it doesn't have the design of the new Xbox Elite Series controller, it certainly has some interesting features fans could be interested in. The Lunar Shift controller features a design that first appears to be somewhat gold, but the product description reveals that it will change color with light and motion. Certain features like the white buttons and thumbsticks won't have this "surreal shimmer" color shift, but this still marks a unique design.
It seems that Xbox is all in on this space theme of the Lunar Shift controller as well, as its textured grips have a swirling design, appearing almost like a nebula or mini galaxy. At the time of writing, Xbox hasn't yet confirmed the existence of the Lunar Shift, but if this situation is anything like another recently leaked controller, then fans could soon find out soon when they can get their hands on this space-themed accessory. Recently, the Xbox Mineral Camo controller was first leaked before being officially confirmed by Xbox a day later.
Unlike the Lunar Shift, which doesn't appear to be a variation on any previous Xbox controller designs, the Mineral Camo controller is the fourth in the Xbox Camo series of controllers, sporting a blue design complete with a purple and aqua camouflage pattern. Alongside these original Xbox designs, fans can also pick up controllers based around games. Recently, as part of the celebrations of the title coming to Game Pass, Microsoft gave away a custom Deathloop Xbox Series X and controller to match.
