Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg comments on how Black Ops 3's timed exclusivity deal with Sony won't be an issue to Xbox One users this holiday.

Following this month's price cut to Sony's best-selling consoles, the PS4 is now available at the same price as Microsoft's Xbox One. Now as the holiday season approaches, the two consoles are matched for price as many consumers look to make a choice this Christmas.

Despite this even footing, Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg isn't worried about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's recent deal for timed exclusive content with Sony, marking the end of a multi-year partnership between Activision and Microsoft. As announced at E3, all Black Ops 3 DLC will launch first on PlayStation consoles, rather than on Xbox One. Still, Greenberg expects the upcoming first-person shooter to perform well on Xbox One, noting that the deal only grants Ps4 users a short period of early access to any downloadable content.

"We expect Black Ops 3 to be a really big title for us this year just like it has been in previous years," he said. "The fact is that there is no content in Call of Duty that we don't get."

During a recent interview with Gamespot, Greenberg also pointed out that the Xbox One will be home to seven big exclusive games this year, including Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza Motorsport 6. He stated that Xbox knows that it is games that drives console sales and claims that this year the Xbox One has "the greatest games lineup in the history of the business."

Despite the PlayStation's lack of first-party games this holiday no doubt being a factor in many consumers' decisions, Sony's console's sales continue to soar, coming up to nearly 30 million total units sold. The PS4 has consistently outsold its Xbox counterpart, which hopes to convince many of its fans to upgrade from their Xbox 360s this Christmas in order to access the array of new upcoming titles.

One way Xbox hopes to persuade their fans to move up to the Xbox One is by introducing backwards compatibility, allowing players to run their old games on their current-gen consoles. Whether or not the first-party releases and backwards compatibility are enough to outsell the PS4, Greenberg said he's confident that the Xbox One can retain its competitive status this holiday.
