After Sony revealed its big console discounts for Black Friday 2017, it was only a matter of time until Microsoft followed suit. The company has now revealed massive savings on the Xbox One, letting shoppers buy the console for its cheapest-ever price.

From November 23rd to the 27th, the Xbox One S with a 500GB hard drive will be available for $189. Microsoft says that this is the "lowest price ever" for the console since its debut last year. This is in line with other Black Friday deals for the console (including Walmart's Black Friday discounts),  and so shoppers will be hard-pressed to find the console at a lower price.

Other Xbox One S bundles have had their prices cut for Black Friday 2017, too. From now until November 18th, shoppers can get an Xbox One S 500GB with an additional game for $249 total. Then, from November 19th to the 27th, shoppers can save $50 on any Xbox One S 500GB or 1TB bundle that's available this holiday season.

Microsoft has also slashed the prices of some of the biggest Xbox One games. Forza Motorsport 7 is $40, while Gears of War 4 and Halo Wars 2 are down to $20 each. Super Lucky's Tale, Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection, and Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure and a few other "family friendly" games that have been discounted by 35% too.

Other discounts include:

  • Xbox Live Gold is $1 for your first month (November 16th-27th)
  • Xbox Live Gold subscribers can get "Early Access" to savings on digital games four days before everyone else (online only, November 17th-20th)
  • Over 500 Xbox One and Xbox 360 digital games, movies and TV shows will be discounted up to 65% (online only, November 17th-27th)
  • Purchase an Xbox One X and get $50 off an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (now until November 18th)
  • Save $15 on Xbox Design Lab controllers (November 21st-27th)

Although this year's Xbox Black Friday discounts don't include a discount on the new Xbox One X console, which is the big must-have item this holiday season, these savings are still pretty good. The Xbox One S probably won't be this cheap again for quite some time.

And although the Xbox One library of exclusives does pale in comparison to those of the PS4, this will improve substantially over the next few months. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2 are all coming to the console, meaning that if Black Friday shoppers get an Xbox One now, they'll be ready for those big games to drop.
