There is no question that Halo: Reach is one of the most anticipated games of the year. It is also widely acknowledged that the redesigned Xbox 360 is pretty great. Gamers who are in the market for either (or both) should take a look at the just announced Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo: Reach Bundle. It will be available, just like Halo: Reach, on September 14th
The admittedly bad-ass look of the system was actually designed by Bungie. Though these kinds of bundles sometimes seem slapped together just to extract every possible cent from die-hard fans, the Reach bundle is actually jam packed with useful hardware and Halo goodness. Check out the contents, from the official press release:
"The Xbox 360 Limited Edition 'Halo: Reach' Bundle features an exclusive silver design and comes with two custom Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers with artwork inspired by the game, a Standard Edition copy of 'Halo: Reach,' a token for the Limited Edition Elite armor set, an episode of 'Halo Legends' and a 'Halo: Reach'-themed Xbox 360 wired headset. As an added touch, the specially designed console in the Xbox 360 Limited Edition 'Halo: Reach' Bundle not only captures the look and feel of the game, but also features custom sound effects from the 'Halo' universe."
Damn, that's a lot of stuff! Plus, it makes Halo sounds when you power it up and turn it off - how cool is that? Take a look at some shots of the system.
Of course, the Xbox 360 in the Halo: Reach Bundle packs all the features that make the redesign so great: 250 GB hard drive, built in 802.11n Wi-Fi, and whisper quiet operation. Personally, I love that the system includes two controllers and a headset for online play. All together, the bundle really delivers some value for its $399.99 price tag.
What do you think - does the Limited Edition Halo: Reach Bundle look cool? Are you excited for Halo: Reach?
The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo: Reach Bundle will be available September 14, 2010, for $399.99.
