In Wytchwood, players will have to travel far from home in order to complete the contract with the goat. This means that fast travel is going to be necessary in order to move around the map as efficiently as possible. There are two ways to fast travel in this relaxing video game: one is to unlock portals and the other is Hearthseeds.
What are Hearthseeds in Wytchwood?
Hearthseeds allow players to travel back home from anywhere instantly. If players find themselves over their heads in a dangerous area or just need to get somewhere else, they can get there pretty quickly just by making and using a Hearthseed. These seeds can be made from just a couple of ingredients in the witch's grimoire. Similar to crafting without a crafting table in Minecraft, players in Wytchwood do not have to be anywhere specific in order to make these fast travel seeds.
The Recipe for Hearthseeds
Players automatically unlock the recipe for these seeds fairly early in the Wytchwood indie game. The recipe only calls for two ingredients: Impeye Nuts and Flower Petals. Thankfully, players can find Impeye Nuts all over the Forest. They sort of look like little eyeballs on the ground; the witch can pick them up without the use of any tools.
The Flower Petals are a little harder to find. They can still be found in the Forest, but they only seem to spawn in two places on the map. These two places are the Fairy Rings.
Fairy Rings in Wytchwood
There are a couple of Fairy Rings located on the whimsical Stardew Valley-like map in Wytchwood. There is one all the way to the east past the broken honey cart and one all the way to the west of the well where the child with the frogs that give players the net is located. Fairy Rings also contain fairies and fireflies which players will need for other recipes in the future.
Flower Petals will spawn on the ground in Fairy Rings, which feels like a magical version of an Animal Crossing game. These petals can be in a variety of colors. While they only appear pink in the inventory and after a player picks it up, any color of Flower Petal will do for the Hearthseed spell. These petals look like many-colored, heart-shaped leaves that spawn on the ground; these petals don't need any special equipment to be farmed.
Players require one Impeye Nut and two Flower Petals for each Hearthseed they want to create.
