Former WWE star Shad Gaspard has passed away. His body was discovered around 1:30 AM on Venice Beach this morning, with police later identifying it as the body of Gaspard.

He was last seen by a Los Angeles County lifeguard Sunday afternoon when he was swimming with his son at Venice beach. The former WWE star and his son had been caught up in a dangerous surf, with the lifeguard responding at the time. They managed to rescue his son, but Gaspard was pulled to sea by a large wave. Lifeguards report that Gaspard's final words were "save my son."

Before he left WWE in 2010, he teamed with his partner JTG as a member of Cryme Tyme. Since, he has appeared in several film and TV series like Get Hard, The Game, and Think Like a Man too. He also did motion capture stunts for Bane in Batman: The Enemy Within and is credited for some motion capture work in God of War. To what extent isn't exactly mentioned, but he alongside voice and performance actor Christopher Judge and stunt performer Eric Jacobus seemed to bring Kratos to life.
