As WWE continues to struggle with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, recent news has demonstrated another strange decision within the turmoil. According to recent reports, the most prominent wrestling company in the world is taking steps to avoid talking about one of its biggest stars.

WWE wrestler Roman Reigns has been absent from the company after announcing his decision to step away before his WrestleMania 36 match against Bill Goldberg. It now appears that his absence will continue, forcing WWE to change its practices in addressing the former champion.

The reported new mandate is that WWE commentators and television production staff are to not speak of Reigns for the foreseeable future. This news comes from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter who notes that Reigns' distancing from the WWE is likely to continue until the current pandemic concerns lessen. Reigns famously stepped away from the WWE two years ago due to a battle with leukemia. It is because of this ongoing battle with the disease that he has opted for extra caution.

WWE has found itself in a difficult situation due to the ongoing coronavirus scare. Just recently, the WWE product was deemed an "Essential Service" by the Florida government allowing for continued taping of both RAW and Smackdown within the company's "Performance Center." This is the same location that WrestleMania 36 was held in.

While the Performance Center will continue to be the main taping location for future shows, the company recently announced that its next Pay-Per-View event will be moving to another company location. This year's Money in the Bank will take place in the WWE corporate offices based in Connecticut. Instead of the confines of the ring, those involved in the battle for the Money in the Bank Briefcase must now reach the top of the building itself.
