The Marvel Cinematic Universe has flourished with long-form storytelling, to the point that the movies are evolving and adding new characters as much of the old guard is leaving after Avengers: Endgame. Disney has purchased the rights to Marvel properties once owned by Fox, including the X-Men, but even though Sony still has prominent control over Spider-Man that hasn't stopped WWE wrestler Paul "Big Show" Wight from wishing for a particular MCU role.

In an interview with ComicBook, Wight said he would be a "shoe-in" to play Wilson Fisk, also known as The Kingpin, in an MCU film. He specifically points to a reboot of Daredevil, a Marvel Netflix series that features Kingpin as a prominent antagonist. However, the character has also historically been a Spider-Man villain and appears in films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which may offer more of a direct line into the MCU if the Netflix shows are disregarded.

Wight said he has been impressed by other massive characters like the MCU's Thanos and told ComicBook, "I want to be like Samuel L. Jackson. I don't work to turn anything down but the pillowcases." That being said, Kingpin is a popular character, having also appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man on the PS4, so there's a chance he could be brought back in Marvel films one day.

The WWE is full of wrestlers who have keen interests in popular culture properties like Wight with the MCU. Last month, wrestler Zelina Vega showed off a cosplay of Pokemon Sword and Shield's Nessa while playing the Isle of Armor DLC.
