WWE 2K23 will be adding another free new playable Superstar in the next patch. This news comes hot off the heels of the most recent WWE 2K23 free roster addition, Mia Yim. The development team looks to be hard at work keeping the game updated and providing a great experience this year by listening to fans' general feedback.

While the WWE 2K23 roster is no joke in terms of size, many fans still can't accept that a lot of their favorite and current WWE Superstars are not part of the game. The previous year's iteration was different as a lot of the roster was made up of characters who weren't employed by the WWE by the time the game was released. However, this year's version was missing a lot of current big names who've since made their return to the company even after the supposed roster cut-off period. Fortunately, the WWE 2K23 team may be looking to rectify the omissions by introducing extra free DLC.

As announced on WWE 2K23's Twitter account, Candice LeRae will be making her return to the franchise once the next patch launches. LeRae, and the previously mentioned Mia Yim were just two models recently uncovered by WWE 2K23 modders, so many gamers were somewhat expecting the announcement. Free DLC is a very uncommon practice in the WWE 2K franchise, with the last instance being WWE 12's Masked Kane DLC, so this piece of news is very pleasing to fans of the game.

By the video announcement, Candice LeRae seems to be sporting her WWE 2K22 model which would still pass off as her current look. Luckily, the recycling of her model works since she hasn't changed her look following her short hiatus during her pregnancy. On this note, many fans are still hoping that other older models be transferred to WWE 2K23 so that other playable characters can be introduced to the game as well. Some notable names who could make their easy transition to WWE 2K23 would be Tegan Nox and Bronson Reed. Reed was previously a canceled DLC for WWE 2K22, but his model used to exist hidden in that game's files.

New characters are always welcome additions. With WWE 2K23's DLC also releasing in regular intervals from April until August, the final roster looks to be stacked. While the hope is that more free characters make the cut, the extremely huge standard roster is enough to keep gamers entertained for a long time. The free new Superstars will really help bolster the idea that the development team is working hard to keep fans satisfied and happy. This might prove to be one of the best WWE games in the series if 2K continues to provide support to the title.

WWE 2K23 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
