WWE 2K23 might be adding Bray Wyatt and Wade Barrett to the upcoming video game if rumors are to be believed. With only a few weeks left until WWE 2K23 releases on March 17, 2023, speculations continue to surface regarding several features or the title's contents.

WWE 2K23 recently unveiled its roster consisting of over 170 characters. While names such as John Cena, Randy Orton, or Roman Reigns are already locked in, sometimes omissions happen because of various circumstances. The same could be said for legends and hall of famers who join the roster yearly who's appearances may depend on their contract status as the game is being developed. However, the same cannot be said for WWE 2K22, which had one of the most outdated rosters in the game. Still, the occasional weird request comes from fans, who sometimes hope a recently returned superstar makes it in-game.

In the latest 2K ShowDown stream by the WWE Games development team, a brief interference and graphic interrupted the stream which showed a faint version of WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt's current logo. The words "Bad News Paper" was also shown along with the date March 1, 2023. For those unfamiliar, current WWE Commentator Wade Barrett used to go by the moniker "Bad News" Barrett, which may also imply his involvement in this year's game. Fans have previously noted Bray Wyatt's omission from the WWE 2K23 roster, so this tease may bring good news to a lot of players.

Since the announced roster seems to be finalized already, the general speculation regarding this cryptic graphic is that the news on March 1 will discuss future DLC. Interestingly enough, both superstars who were teased have a connection with WWE 2K23 Cover Star John Cena. Both Bray Wyatt and Wade Barrett hold wins over the iconic superstar on different occasions. It's already a big omission to have both men missing from the John Cena Showcase, so their possible addition to the post-release will please a lot of gamers.

WWE 2K23 is being marketed with the hashtag #EvenStronger, so fans expect the title to be better than its most recent predecessor WWE 2K22. New modes and new playable characters will be present in the game, as well as returning features. With WarGames making its debut in WWE 2K23, fans will now be able to utilize the deep roster in this unique game mode. The possible addition of new characters via DLC will definitely make this year's version reflective of WWE's current programming.

WWE 2K23 launches on March 17 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
