The game is already shaping up to be a big improvement over its predecessor WWE 2K22. With the hashtag #EvenStronger, WWE 2K23 will debut WarGames, along with a host of new and returning features. As always, the major focus every year is the roster. WWE 2K's roster is so dynamic that it can change in a single day and the title would already be outdated. That's why the developers usually set a cutoff date to determine which superstars will be part of the game.
As seen on UpUpDownDown's ratings reveal stream on YouTube, Tyler Breeze will be joining WWE 2K23 as a WWE legend. While Breeze's accomplishments in the company are arguably nowhere near legendary, it's always great to see a figure who has managed to maintain his presence be included in the game. Breeze has mostly been present in UpUpDownDown's regular video uploads and streams, so his close nature to the company is still valuable.
Interestingly enough, Breeze's said involvement in UpUpDownDown can now also be emulated in WWE 2K23. As an added bonus to Breeze's playability, both he and Xavier Woods are also selectable GMs in MyGM. This plays off from their regular GM mode video series, which both men highly feature on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. As UpUpDownDown continues to bridge wrestling and video games, this feels like a good decision by the 2K team. The tribute to Breeze and Woods' antics will be something that a lot of fans will enjoy in-game.
As the roster is seemingly final, the only chance for more additions to WWE 2K23's roster will be via DLC. The speculations that Bray Wyatt and Wade Barrett will be post-game DLC are seemingly intensifying. However, with this latest Tyler Breeze reveal, there might be a slim chance that Wyatt and Barrett could be secret additions to the roster. Both men would fit right into Cover Star John Cena's Showcase as they hold wins over the man. Plus, both superstars are currently employed by WWE—with Wyatt being an active performer, and Barrett as a commentator. Fans can still hope that their favorite wrestlers will make it in. Until then, gamers can at least enjoy the possibility that unannounced names are part of the roster.
