After a cancellation and multiple delays, wrestling fans will not have to wait much longer to get their hands on WWE 2K22 and live out their fantasies with a roster of WWE superstars and legends. The last two years in WWE have left many players with more questions than answers regarding the roster, but with the game out in March, 2K Games and developer Visual Concepts are set to begin revealing the final roster. The first roster member set for the game is definitely an "All-Mighty" addition who also got a ratings bump to reflect their rise to WWE's main event scene.WWE 2K22 is the latest entry in the WWE 2K series following 2019's poorly-received WWE 2K20, which released littered with bugs and technical problems. The game is said to be running on a completely rebuilt engine in an effort to avoid the same number and type of potential bugs when it releases. It will also feature a simplified control scheme and the return of a GM mode for any players out there who want to see if they can book shows better than Vince McMahon.RELATED: WWE 2K22 Confirms Playable General Managers in MyGM ModeIn order to book these shows, players will need a roster of stars to fill out their cards from the opening match to the main event. Former WWE Champion the "All-Mighty" Bobby Lashley would certainly fit in the latter as he is confirmed to be on the roster for the game's 2022 outing. His rating was also confirmed on Twitter, getting a bump from 86 in 2K20 to 91 for 2K22, which Lashley had a cheeky response to.

The rating bump for Lashley makes sense given the success he saw in 2021 as part of Monday Night Raw's main event scene. He would win his first WWE Championship from The Miz on March 1 and would successfully defend the title against names like Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, Kofi Kingston, Goldberg, and Randy Orton. He ultimately lost the title to Money in the Bank winner Big E on September 13 but remained a fixture in the main event since. He is set to challenge current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at the 2022 Royal Rumble in what many wrestling fans, and Lashley himself, consider a dream match.

More roster reveals are set to come over the next few weeks, but questions still linger around the names. The last two years have seen WWE release nearly 150 wrestlers, many of whom already had body scans done for the game. It will be interesting to see how many of these release stars make it into the final roster as previous reports suggested anyone still with the company when the game was announced in August 2021 may still make the cut.

WWE 2K22 is scheduled to release on March 11 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
