Alongside the official announcement of WWE 2K20 that was accompanied by information for WWE 2K20's cover stars and release date, more specifics regarding in-game content have been revealed. In particular, WWE 2K20 will be bringing back the well-liked Towers mode and, moreover, it will feature a Tower that largely encompasses the career of cover star Roman Reigns.

A trailer for WWE 2K20 featuring the likes of famed WWE stars Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and more was posted to the game's Twitter page recently, and with it came a slew of information about the next iteration in the WWE 2K series. This includes details on the Collector's Edition and Deluxe Edition for WWE 2K20, as well as the modes and features to be debuted in the game.

One of the aforementioned modes to be debuted in the game is Towers mode. First introduced in WWE 2K19, the mode was quite similar to the typical Arcade mode one would come across in a fighting game like Street Fighter or SoulCalibur. Essentially, the mode requires the player to compete in a series of consecutive matches against selected A.I. opponents.

This mode will be returning to the game and it will bring with it a narrative-focused Tower that is based on the career of longtime WWE star Roman reigns. It is currently unknown how in-depth the tower will be, but as Roman Reigns remains one of WWE's most recognizable wrestlers, it makes sense to designate a Tower directly to him.

As depicted by the details that have been trickling down, as well as the fan service-filled trailer, WWE 2K20 is shaping up to be a content-packed WWE 2K installment and may turn out to be one of the deepest games in the series in years. The Towers mode was a nice addition to the WWE 2K series, so its inclusion does not come as much of a surprise. However, with a full Tower dedicated to Roman Reigns, WWE 2K20 is set to up the ante in more ways than one, including with the game's reworked 2K Showcase mode. Ultimately, the game's projected wide range of content may help elevate it to among the best of the WWE 2K series.

WWE 2K20 will be released on October 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
