The release of WWE 2K20 is just over a week away, and in anticipation of the newest iteration of the annual wrestling video game series, 2K has allowed media outlets to post tons of new information about what players can expect when they finally get their hands on the game. As well as talking about match types, what will and won't be returning in WWE 2K20, and showing off the first full gameplay video, outlets have also been able to post a new entrance video for "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
The WWE 2K20 entrance video of Bray Wyatt’s demonic alter-ego, The Fiend, has finally been unveiled, showing the terrifying wrestler walking to the ring. As per usual for 2K’s annual wrestling games, The Fiend’s entrance is remarkably accurate to the character’s real-life counterpart, including his signature lamp and theme music.
Much like The Fiend’s entrances at Summerslam and Hell In A Cell, his walk to the ring begins with the "Firefly Funhouse" intro that accompanies Wyatt’s weekly segments on WWE TV, before creepily fading into the words “Let Me In” - the character’s ominous catchphrase. The video package then fades to black, The Fiend emerging from the darkness holding his now-iconic lamp shaped like Bray Wyatt’s dismembered head. He slowly walks down the ramp accompanied by his theme music, before resting the lamp on the canvas and entering the ring as the lights slowly come back up.
Bray Wyatt’s new persona has been one of the most popular character reinventions in recent wrestling history. His dual personality split between an overly friendly children's TV presenter and a deranged masked wrestler with demonic powers caught on with audiences instantly. Many worried that he wouldn’t make it into WWE 2K20 following his recent debut, but thanks to some early pre-order bonuses, The Fiend will be available to play day one for owners of the Bump In The Night DLC pack. Wyatt’s alter-ego isn’t the only bonus players will acquire from the additional content either, as the pack contains new horror-themed skins for Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, and Aleister Black.
The Fiend has, of course, been a subject of controversy recently, with the character participating in the terribly received main event of the WWE Pay Per View, Hell In A Cell. While many fans were clambering for The Fiend to savagely defeat his opponent, Seth Rollins, and claim the latter’s Universal Championship, the match was called off due to a no contest - a finish that made no sense seen as the matchup was a no disqualification bout. There will no doubt be a number of angry fans that will redo the match in WWE 2K20, allowing the Fiend to finally reign supreme.
WWE 2K20 launches on October 22 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
