WWE 2K20 has had a rough 2019. The original developers, Yukes (a developer with over twenty years experience in wrestling titles) left 2K to make their own wrestling game. The game then launched with some of the worst bugs ever seen in a game this generation, surpassing even Assassin’s Creed: Unity by releasing in an even worse state.

In addition, it has been reported that at least ten developers have walked out of Visual Concepts because they no longer want their names associated with the game, since it seems unfixable at this point.

Despite the negativity, there are some hidden features in WWE 2K20 that should keep veterans and newcomers happy. There are a lot of features hidden in the game’s customization menu, creation suites, and even special in-game commentary. Let’s take a look at ten of these features that gamers may not have noticed yet.

10 Unlimited Downloads

One of the most irritating features in the WWE 2K series has always been the download limit for grabbing the community created wrestlers. The game has always had a daily download limit of 20 wrestlers which would mean that gamers would need to wait a full 24 hours before they download another 20.

However, since the recent 1.03 patch, it is now possible to have unlimited downloads once the 20 wrestler limit has been hit. There are no special requirements to get this to work as all players need to do is keep downloading wrestlers in spite of the limit counter. This may, however, get patched out in a future update.

9 The 24/7 Championship

The 24/7 Championship is something of comedy skit in the WWE. The skits involve seemingly dozens of lower to mid-card wrestlers are chasing each other around backstage to pin each other for the “title” at any given moment.

It’s a belt that is mentioned in-game but there isn’t an option to fight for the belt or create one yet as the Create-A-Championship feature is still missing. However, there is a  special 24/7 MyPlayer Towers gauntlet that players can run with R-Truth, which is the closest one can get to compete for the new belt.

8 The First Blood Match

The First Blood Match was a stand-out match option for previous games in the WWE Smackdown and 2k series.  Since the PG era came into full effect the promotion of such matches is non-existent on TV and Pay-Per-View events.

However, those that like to play around in the Custom Match options features will find that it is still possible to have the First Blood matches in WWE 2K20. Before starting a match, click Y or triangle to get into the Match Options and then select Match Rules. Turn off the Pin or Submission feature, then select First Blood.

7 Tables Iron Man Match

Iron Man matches are usually bouts where two wrestlers have anything from 15 to a 60-minute match where the person who has most pinfalls, submission, or count-out victory will emerge as the victor. Tables Matches are bouts where whichever wrestlers put their opponent through the table first gets the win.

It is possible to combine the two by having an Iron Man Tables match where whoever puts their opponent through the most tables before the timer runs out gets the win. To do this go into Creations, Custom Matches, New, and then select Table. From here turn the Iron Man option on and click Accept.

6 Classic Titantrons

In WWE 2K20 there is the option to have matches in classic versions of the "Raw is War" and "Smackdown!" arenas. These are a great tribute to the past and an especially good addition for fans who miss the WWE Attitude Era days.

However, the optional classic arenas aren’t just window dressing. They feature classic Titantron entrance videos, too. Wrestlers like Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and Zack Rider have their classic videos playing in the background.

5 6-Pack Challenge

A prominent match that has been featured in a big way in WWE this year has the been 6-Pack Challenge match. It is an elimination match featuring six wrestlers in the ring at once and was prominent in the women’s division in 2019.

It’s not featured in this year’s game from the outset but it can be created using the game’s creation features. To do this, go into the Custom Match options, select 6-Man, Normal and then turn on the Elimination feature. This can also be done with 8 wrestlers to create an 8-Pack Challenge.

4 Two Entrances For Elias

Despite playing the role of the villain, Elias is one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE today. He has an old school gimmick - used by performers like the Honky Tonk Man and Jeff Jarrett - where he enters the ring with a guitar and hit opponents over the head with it to get a cheap win.

However, it's his various humorous entrance songs that he seems to have the fans in the palm of his hand. He insults his opponents and the location but the fans still cheer and sing along with him. New to this year's game Elias has two entrances depending on whether he's set to enter the ring first or last. Unfortunately, it is the same song twice, but it's still a fun feature for this year's game to have.

3 Commentary For Rivalries

It is no secret that the commentary in the WWE 2K series is lacking especially when compared to 2K’s NBA series. It’s even lacking compared to EA’s UFC series by a significant margin because the commentary sounds like recorded clips and doesn’t flow naturally.

However, even as bad as it is, there’s still quite a lot of improvement in the year’s entry compared to its predecessors. The most notable improvement comes in the form of certain rivalries that trigger something of a history lesson. The most notable ones so far are Sting Vs. Goldberg, Sting Vs. Ric Flair, Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy, and Tomasso Ciampa Vs. Johnny Gargano.

2 Find Allusions To The Macho Man And NWO Hollywood Hogan

There are hopes that WWE 2K20 will have better DLC in the future than the awful Originals content that 2K has mapped out over the next few months. However, with everything that has gone wrong with this year’s entry, one has to wonder if 2K will just keep any significant content for WWE 2K21 instead.

There is some hope that 2K have something planned in the form of legends content due to some content in the game. When exploring the gym area there are posters on the wall for the Macho Man wearing the same attire that savvy PC players have found hidden in the game. Furthermore, these same PC players have also found the nWo alternative attire set for Hogan hidden in the game’s code. Hopefully, this means that those that invested in the game will finally get some worth DLC.

1 Use Drew McIntyre’s Alternate Attire

Since Drew McIntyre came back into the WWE he has looked bigger and better than ever. In addition to this, he seems to be getting a big push in the company as one of its main heels. With such a push comes a fan base so they will be pleased to know that he has a hidden attire in the game.

Select Superstar from the Creations menu, select McIntyre’s Ring Attire and Edit Attire. Then select Clothing and you’ll notice that he has two sets of trunks. If you press "Remove" this will reveal his alternate trunks with a slightly different color and design.
