Nearly three months following the leak of the cover star and release date for WWE 2K20, new images have surfaced of two wrestlers to be featured in the game. Namely, new photos of returning wrestlers Brock Lesnar and Bayley have been shown.

With the recent rumor of a WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain remaster afloat, many are still awaiting new information on the upcoming WWE 2K20. Now, fans have been teased with an image of Brock Lesnar, currently the WWE Universal Champion, and Bayley, currently the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.

The image of Brock Lesnar is a fairly standard one. It shows the reigning champion looking off stoically into the distance, while the image of Bayley shows the fighter standing on-stage, likely before her ring walk.

One thing that appears to be true of these images is that they show higher graphical detail than other WWE 2K releases. In recent years, the WWE games haven't been well-known for superb graphical definition, so these images provide promise as far as that is concerned.

WWE 2K20 - Bayley

Following last year's WWE 2K19, WWE 2K20 has a lot to do to keep fans happy. In recent years, the WWE 2K games have fluctuated in quality, so the constant hope is that each year can improve upon the last. Based on the released images, it seems that the presentation is going to be a big focus for the game, yet it can also stand to improve in other areas. For example, the WWE games have traditionally been fairly buggy by many accounts, including WWE 2K19. Thus, more time could be used to eliminate those.

Additionally, another issue with last year's installment was concerning the game's in-game currency, which was used as a method of unlocking things. If there's one thing the gaming industry must learn soon, if it hasn't learned it already, is that microtransactions of any kind, regardless of whether real money is used or not, are part of an annoying habit that has to be kicked. In any regard, more information on WWE 2K20 will be heading fans' way August 5.
