Hulk Hogan Running Wild in ‘WWE 2K15’ Collector’s Edition

By | 2 years ago

When fans think of WWE there are a couple of faces and personalities that come to mind. One of these is the immortal Hulk Hogan, who only just made his return to the company that he started his prolific career with. While Hogan hasn’t shied away from appearing in recent WWE video games, the legendary bringer of pain will have a very special role in the next installment, WWE 2K15.

As is usually the case, there will be a very special edition of WWE 2K15 released and it’ll feature Hulk Hogan in lieu of John Cena as the cover star. Yes, this Collector’s Edition will feature the enigmatic, blonde, beefcake in a similar fashion to last year’s WWE 2K14 Phenom Edition which gravitated around The Undertaker. As was previously the case, this limited variant will come loaded with a number of exclusives that’ll be sure to drive all the little Hulkamaniacs wild.

Admittedly, the contents of this year’s Collector’s Edition is a step up from some of the other offerings, and wrestling fans the world over will surely be excited tear apart the packaging to get to the creamy Hulk Hogan-flavoured nougat that lies at the center of this $99.99 limited-run package.

Here’s a complete list of what can be found in the WWE 2K15 Hulkamania Collector’s Edition:

  • A Copy of WWE 2K15
  • Exclusive Premium Packaging
  • Exclusive Collectible Art Card Personally Autographed by Hulk Hogan
  • Exclusive Funko “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan Vinyl Figure
  • Exclusive Piece of Authentic Ring Canvas from Hulk Hogan’s Monday Night Raw Appearance on March 10, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee
  • Two Pre-Order, Launch Exclusive Characters: Hulk Hogan and “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan
  • Access to WWE 2K15 global pre-order offer, Sting Playable Characters Pack

While the package itself is loaded with value — the bundle includes Hulk Hogan’s autograph for crying out loud — it’s important to note that it is only available for Xbox One and PS4 users. That’s right, on top of the current-gen exclusive MyCareer mode, only those that have the latest platforms will be able to pickup the Hulkamania Collector’s Edition — effectively leaving Xbox 360 and PS3 users to stick with the standard SKU.

Another note is that it sounds as if Hulk Hogan won’t be featured within the actual WWE 2K15 game, because he’s being made available for a limited time to anyone that picks up this Hulk-tastic alternative. Hulk Hogan will be made available as add-on content at a later date, but gamers can be sure that it will cost them some a couple of bucks to add the immortal one to their game’s roster. Although, the same thing can be said for the pre-order exclusive Sting.

What do you think of the WWE 2K15 Hulkamania Collector’s Edition? Will you be picking it up?

WWE 2K15 slams onto the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 28, 2014 in North America and October 31, 2014 internationally.
