WWE 2K14 Roster Revealed Header

Hot on the heels of yesterday's 'WrestleMania Mode' match-ups announcement, 2K Games has unveiled the entire 'rasslin' roster for WWE 2K14. The sporting giant's first swing at an annualized grappling title, the game — developed by long-time series' overseers Yukes! Interactive — will debut this October, featuring an enormous 84 Superstar selection.

With 48 current competitors, 36 legendary names and a walk-in wardrobe's worth of alternate attires, WWE 2K14 may not be the most extensive in series history (that honor goes to 2003's SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain), but what the game lacks in sheer size, it more than makes up for in nostalgia.

Check out the full list of featured talent below.

Sadly, there's no love for a number of current WWE Superstars or Legends that have appeared in past games, but there are a few big names in this iteration that are sure to get fans fired up. It should also be noted that The Ultimate Warrior is only available to those that pre-order WWE 2K14, while the 'American Badass' variant of The Undertaker is only included in the Phenom Edition of the game.

While some omissions are inevitable — due to either frosty relations between WWE and certain stars, competing contracts or unfortunate timings — a number of these non-inclusions remain unusual. No shows from the Usos, LoD and Epico & Primo are symptomatic of the game's wider disregard for the doubles division (no tag matches in the entire '30 Years of WrestleMania' Mode), while Jimmy Snuka & Roddy Piper's absences are flat-out mystifying.

Is WWE 2K14's roster an upgrade or an upset after last year's Attitude-packed selection? Whose omission is the most maddening here?
