For several weeks the WWE has been teasing a “revolution,” and they’ve finally revealed what form this revolution will take… a new video game! The first ever trailer for WWE 13 has just been leaked, and much to the delight of many hardcore wrestling fans, the current WWE Champion CM Punk will be the poster boy for the title. The trailer is a blend of a live action promo and actual WWE 13 gameplay, but it’s more than enough to get gamers excited for what’s coming later this year.

The gameplay gives away more than initially meets the eye. The most blatantly obvious addition is the ability to break the ring with a suplex from the top rope. We’d suspect that it may be a special feature that only occurs with heavyweights, but that’s just logical speculation. There’s plenty of other news that can be derived from the teaser, such as the confirmation of a few members of the new roster.

Current WWE Superstars such as CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Big Show, Mark Henry, and Sheamus all appear in the leaked video, much as wrestling fans would expect. Fortunately, legends of the squared-circle (Mankind, Stone Cold, and The Undertaker) also make an appearance in the video, peaking the interest of anyone who loved the “Attitude Era.” It would appear that the team at Yuke’s is working hard to pack the game with plenty of old school wrestling things too, as Austin can be seen tackling Foley through a retro barricade.

The best part of the trailer, however, comes at the very end, when a November 1st release date is touted. Once THQ releases some more details on WWE 13, we’ll have a better idea of what this “revolution” that the premature teaser promotes so thoroughly actually is . The game is currently set to appear on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii — although plans for a currently unannounced Wii U version may still be in the books.

We’d suspect that the video will be removed shortly, and if that does happen then we’ll update this article with a working video as soon as possible. In the meantime, enjoy.
