The final roster for WWE 12 was revealed several months ago, and some people loved it while others hated it. As THQ and Yuke's are both well aware, it's hard to give players all of the superstars they want when both developer and publisher have to deliver the game's annual installment under strict time constraints.
It's situations like this that make downloadable content such an appealing opportunity, and THQ has just released a trailer for one of the future characters who will be socking opponents in the squared circle at some point after WWE 12's launch.
The character in question is none other than Mrs. Foley's baby boy, Mick Foley. That's right, the mastermind behind Cactus Jack, Dude Love, and Mankind is finally making his way back into a WWE game after several years of being M.I.A., and fans will surely be excited when they finally get lace up their bloodstained boots as "The Hardcore Legend." We even suggested that Mick Foley should return in our feature detailing the top five legendary wrestlers that should be in WWE 12. His confirmation also couldn't not have happened at a better time, considering that he made his long anticipated return to the WWE just last night.
You can check out Mick Foley and Mr. Socko in the official reveal trailer for WWE 12 below.
Mick Foley joins other downloadable superstars such as Shawn Michaels, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Michael Cole, Jim Ross, and Batista. Foley will be available in the "Legends Pack 3," or fans will be able to purchase him separately for $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points) later this coming January. Of course, WWE 12 also has the Fan Axxess Pass available, which will allow fans to pre-purchase all future content for the game, and that will be available for $11.99 on PSN (or 960 Microsoft Points on 360).
WWE 12 is looking to be the best game in the annual series to-date, and with all of these current superstars meeting such legends as The Rock, Stone Cold, Foley, and even Brock Lesnar, you can be sure that pure unadulterated fun is only a few body slams away.
WWE 12 will be slamming onto store shelves this November 22nd for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii.
