Finally, The Rock, has come back to video game box covers and no, it’s not another Spy Hunter. After a grueling match-up against WWE Superstar John Cena at Wrestlemania XXVIII back in April of this year, the fans were able to cast their votes as to who would represent the WWE franchise on the cover of WWE ’12. With no surprise here, The “People’s Champ,” The Rock would be the true victor and will be gracing the cover of WWE ’12 come this November.

THQ is putting no-holds-barred on this year’s WWE title game. With none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson backing the title, the game is bound to get swarms of WWE fans new and old anticipating this release. Through the new “Predator Technology” gameplay system, players are to receive the most fluid, dynamic, authentic, and action-packed WWE simulation experience to date. The control layout is also new along with different attributes and a significant improvement to other key gameplay systems, including momentum and stamina. Will we finally get a game where the character’s bodies don’t go through the ropes?

The best part of any THQ developed WWE game is the creation suite, which enables a player to develop the most sick, silly, awesome, sexy, or ridiculous customized superstar they can imagine. With every new WWE game, the creation suite always seems to improve from being able to customize your entrances and taunts to your finishing moves and move flexibility. Many more features to the creation suite are yet to be announced, so look forward to that in the coming months!

WWE ’12 “The People’s” Edition will house a full roster of all of your favorite WWE Superstars while also housing a plethora of awesome features, including:

  • Foil sleeve cover packaging featuring The Rock
  • Copy of WWE ’12 videogame
  • The Rock playable in-game character
  • WWE Blu-Ray/DVD featuring The Rock’s must-see WWE Raw appearances from February 14, 2011 and April 4, 2011, including his highly anticipated return to WWE and moment his WrestleMania XXVIII match with John Cena was made official
